The familiar view of the tall apartment blocks and shops, some surprisingly ancient and of different materials and styles typify these smaller roads lying between the grand boulevards and the Seine. They are often bathed in reflected light which I have no doubt exaggerated here as part of my response to the atmosphere these images recall.
